Soloists were: Soprano Ines Mayhew-Begg, Mezzo Soprano Lea Shaw, Tenor Christian Schneeberger, and Bass William Costello. |

Carols Old & New, Dec 2022Paisley Philharmonic Choir sang a selection of popular and lesser known carols, at Methodist Central Halls, Paisley on 10 December 2022, with lots of audience participation! | Autumn Concert, Nov 2022In Methodist Central Halls on 6 Nov 2022, The Choir sang ‘Let Their Celestial Concerts All Unite’ & ‘The King Shall Rejoice’ (Handel), along with, ‘Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring’ (Bach), & Gloria in D major (Vivaldi). Tim Lambourn played solo organ pieces, ‘Bourree’, & ‘La Réjouissance’ (Handel), along with Schmücke dich, o liebe Seele (Bach). Soloists Emily Wishart & Rebecca Pennykid performed respectively ‘Vergnügen und Lust (J S Bach), & 'O Thou That Tellest Good Tidings to Zion' (Handel). | Choir Singalong, May 2022Paisley Philharmonic Choir held a 'singalong' on 10 May 2022 at Paisley South Church. This was an event for current and former choir members only. The Musical Director was Sarah Skerritt, and Accompanist Tim Lambourn. |
'About Us' Feb/Mar 2022‘About us’ was part of the ‘Unboxed’ project in the UK from March to October 2022, described as ‘a once in a lifetime celebration of creativity’. About Us opened at Paisley Abbey, Scotland, in a free open-air event, accompanied by stunning light displays projected onto the Abbey. Paisley Philharmonic Choir were among the live choirs, and other creative displays featured at the event. Conducted by Sarah Skerritt, they were able to ‘sing under the stars, outside the Abbey on 28 Feb, 1 & 3 Mar 2022 | Christmas Carols, 7 Dec 2021Following some easing of Covid restrictions in Scotland, Paisley Philharmonic Choir were able to meet for a choir members only event to sing Christmas Carols together in Paisley South Church on Tuesday 7 December. Sarah Skerrit was Musical Director and Tim Lambourn Accompanist. | Spring Concert 8 March 2020Paisley Philharmonic Choir held it's Spring Concert in the Methodist Central Halls on Sunday, 8 March 2020. This was conducted by Musical Director Sarah Skerritt, with Accompanist Tim Lambourn, and baritone soloist James Wafer. |
Christmas Concert 15 Dec 2019Paisley Philharmonic Choir held their Christmas Concert in Paisley Abbey on 15 December 2019. Sarah Skerrit conducted a selection of traditional and new carols, accompanied by Tim Lambourn. There was also a set performed by the Aura Brass Quintet. A perfect evening's entertainment for the whole family! | Autumn Concert 3 Nov 2019Paisley Philharmonic Choir performed at Inchinnan Parish Church on Sunday 3 Nov 2019, in aid of the Renfrew Branch of the Scottish Bible Society. Music Students from Park Main High School, Erskine also performed during the evening. The Musical Director was Sarah Skerritt, and Accompanist Tim Lambourn. | 30th Anniversary Concert 2019The Choir’s 30th Anniversary also marked the retirement of its Founding Director, Ian Anderson. On 19 May 2019 we celebrated both the seasonal finale and Ian’s 30 years of service with a performance of Mozart’s Requiem in Paisley Abbey, and a selection of Ian’s favourite concert classics. Our organ accompanist was Tim Lambourn, and Martin Doole assisted Ian by conducting the first four pieces in the programme. |
